Here's my system:  AHP 3.296, CM15A, XX16A camera. XP running on a P4.

Finally got the camera working.

1. The image/video is much darker than the actual environment I'm recording.  Is this normal?

2.  Also, I've turned up the quality and speed to the highest levels, but the video is still a little jerky and delayed.  Is this normal for x10 camers, or could it be limitations of my computer.  Would adding RAM help?  I probably only have 1G now.

Thanks.

bump.

Anyone have input on this.  I would love to hear your comments on camera quality and possibly see example images.

I ordered a certified like new camera and want to be sure it not an issue with camera.

Thanks.

I think if you search "X10" on You Tube you will find video from X10 cameras. Dave_X10 has put multiple video on You Tube, I don't remember if any show X10 camera video, but Dave X10 has a plethora (don't know what that word means but it sounds neat) of X10 cameras. I suspect Dave X10 will be around later.

Thanks for posting the pics.  Looks like what I'm seeing is normal.  My video is ok as long as there's tons of light.  I've been using a baby monitor type camera as well and the quality is 100 times better than my x10 camera.  Wish I could find a few more at a cheap price.

yep, I have questioned if they are even the 640x480 they say they are.  more like 200x400 pixels.  that is why i bought another camera to try it out: compro IP70 that is an ip camera.  has motion detection w/o need of motion detector - does it in picture changes instead. now if I could only get it to work....
