I have two socket rockets on one switch. I had to replace one. Now, the new one, won't turn on/off without using a transceiver. Prior to replacement, both worked independently without the transceiver. The second one still works w/o the transceiver. I checked both modules, and they are the same except for the house code. Is there something I am missing or need to change? Thanks for any and all help.
Socket Rockets work only from PLC - powerline signals. These either come from a transceiver (CM15A, TM751A, RR501) or a wired controller such as a Mini Timer, Maxi, Mini controller, etc.
So what are you calling a tranceiver?
What do you mean by: " Prior to replacement, both worked independently without the transceiver." ? Do you mean they were working through AHP software? In other words, how were you turning them on?
You aren't confusing Socket Rockets with Super Sockets are you? The question begins to make sense if that be the case.
If you are talking Super Sockets, X10 seems to periodically change whether the Super Socket has "Local Control" or not. I think they lose the recipe and build one of the old Leviton model receptacles instead. Or maybe the local control is just bad. But if it is a receptacle product and not a screw in light socket product, then call X10 for an exchange.
Unconfuse me.
