Need battery powered cameras

To have the ultimate convenience for permanent or temporary installation, battery power source for cameras would be very nice.

Well X10 does make one but it is not for long duration On times.
The ZB10A runs on four AA batteries and lasts about four hours.

A heavier duty one would be nice.

You could do that today. You just couldn't have more than one X10 camera running at the same time on a
single channel (frequency) talking to a single video receiver. The X10 cams require powerline commands to
switch on/off allowing various cameras to be displayed in your installation; again, one at a time.

Oh yeah, search this forum. One of the X10 geeks here has already done it.
My wish list includes a 7Ah gel cel out in the mailbox with a 12V .1A panel feeding that.
On the inside, I'll have an appliance module to which an X10 video sender/receiver pair will connect.
That setup allows me to send the video on a channel that my three cams are not using now, and control the feed
by turning the sender/receiver pair on/off as needed (to repeat the signal on the channel I need).
The mailbox cam will always be transmitting but unless the sender/receiver pair is turned on, nothing will interfere
with the other three cams controlled by AHP and the CM15.

How about a way to add a solar charger?

I ran a camera on a solar [maintenance] charged robotic device... as a way to have a mobile camera setup. The X10 cameras run well on 12 Volts DC. I used a car remote lock/starter/alarm type device to control on and off (and reduce power drain).
