Hi Folks!

As I wrote in the subject, my CM15A can not detect powerline x10 signals, any more. (neither activity monitor sees it, nor macro starts, but the corresponding X10 module reacts)
Receiving RF and sending powerline signals are ok.

The system was working perfectly, then I installed
- phase coupler (FD10)
- motion detector (MS13A)
- a few SW12 switches
Neither of them seem to be suspicious, however I found the battery leaking (overcharged?) in the CM15A.

Unplug, remove battery, clear interface memory,purge macro events, reset hw config, reinstal AHP (3.267) with registry cleanup ... all did not work.

I'm stucked... 

Any idea?

The CM15A does not charge the battery.
If you found it leaking. The battery maybe defective.
If the CM15A is actually putting a voltage on the battery and causing it to leak. The CM15A is defective.

Do you have any other X10 device that can send powerline signals?
Just to see if anything can be received.

Are you saying power line triggered macros are not working and RF one are?

There could be some new noise source or signal sucker on the line. Anything change in the home at all?

I am sure other may have added thoughts.
It also could be the power line receiver in the CM15A has failed.

I use a mini controller (RF4273) to send signal to a lamp module, next room.
Lamp works well, but the CM15A can not receive anything, although it's plugged
to the same socket like the controller.

Yes, I can trigger macros via RF, only. Signals on the wire won't trigger them,
however I can send powerline signals from the CM15A... strange.
Signals are delivered properly, so there's no noise. The phase coupler is the only "suspicious" change....


Probably you're right. The receiver might went wrong...

You might want to try installing the latest version 3.305, and then do the unplug, reset, reboot the pc, etc.

I tried it, but didn't  help...  although, thx for the idea.

I can not find a single trace of this problem on the net, so most likely it's a hardware failure.
However, it's so strange.. everything works fine, but the receiver...

It sounds like a failed CM15A to me. try contacting X10, and see if they will replace it for you. I know that they have done that for some users, even after the warranty has expired. Depending on the problem, they may want the old unit back to examine it, and determine why it failed.
