Resetting the "auto" transceived house codes
« on: April 23, 2011, 05:19:55 PM »

Howdy all!!!
I would like to use the auto feature for transceived house code feature.
There are several house codes that have been detected and checked, but I would like to reset them and have AHP REdetect them as alot of them have changed, and I cannot find how to reset the "list".
I can select them manually, but want the use the auto feature.
Is there a way to reset this or edit a configuration file that stores this info?
Thanks!

Doesn't the Tools Hardware Configuration tabs turn on Auto for you?
It is one of the choices.

There are numerous posts about the Auto mode not working. But even when it does, it does not  *check*  the house code boxes that the CM15A is transceiving. When Auto is chacked the CM15A just indiscriminately transceives any house code it receives, so what is the "list" are you refering?

I believe I have all of them checked as I vaguely remember Auto not working correctly in some versions of AHP.

Getting AHP to redetect House codes is easy! ;)

In Tools Hardware Configuration
Set detect to manual and uncheck all house codes.
Next switch to auto!
Presto! All done.

However as others have reported using the auto feature isn't the best method to leave AHP in.
Once the auto detect is done it is better to switch to specific or manual.
That way AHP doesn't pick up noise  or a stray x10 signal and set that as a transceiver house code ::) :'

I use my Cm15A strickly as a multi HC transceiver, but I have never seen checked boxes in the "Auto" mode. Does AHP check the boxes of the house codes it receives? If the CM15A is used as stand-alone, do the transceived boxes get checked?

I never quite understood the idea of the auto mode anyway. One likely knows what House Codes they are using and I would think you would only want those codes transceived.

Hi Tuicemen;
I tried that and when I rechecked auto, the HC's that were checked were still checked.
So I tried manually checking a few, updated interface (the file save and download to interface icons appeared... bug) and the HC's I manually checked stayed the same.
Selected auto and all the HC's from before showed up again!
hhmmm...
Anyway, I have read also that the auto mode doesn't work so I will just use manual.  Just wanted to try it out.
