Vanguard software bringing down my PC
« on: April 27, 2011, 03:56:36 PM »

My Vanguard software would not open, I got the run32 error. I saw where someone said to delete the my video folder and now it will upen and run but it is crashing my PC running windows 7. I get the blue screen of death and a dump notificationand the pc locks up. Should I delete everything and start over or does someone have a better idea?
Thanks,
Wayne B:(

Uninstall Vanguard.  That should cure the immediate problem.

The Vangaurd software is obsolete!
I wish X10 would stop pushing it! ::) :'
AHP and the iWatchout (video) plug-in is far better and is expandable with other plug-ins.
Vangaurd can be made to work but you'll always wish you had gone with ActiveHome Pro.  ;)

X10 still supports Active Home and the CM11A  on the site in 2011.  Talk about Vanguard.

Support is to keep from weakening or failing; to strengthen!
Keeping old software on the download page doesn't apply!
I never stated Vanguard wasn't supported, just that it was obsolete meaning there is something better!
Since this thread was placed in the" ActiveHome Pro  Software problems and bugs" section, I would think the user has ActiveHome Pro not ActiveHome.
It is well known that Vanguard and AHP don't play well together.

I suggested a better idea!  ::) :'
