Have set up a number of lights which work just fine when I click on the icon to turn them on or off. However, any timer or macro I set up for them will not work. Sometimes the macro will operate if I click run Macro, but never with the trigger. I have an active coupler for the house wiring and it works well with all my other controllers. Am I missing something ?

What version of AHP do you have and how many plug-ins?   How many modules and the types?  How many macros? We need this to help you.

Running win 7 64 bit. Activehome pro ver 3.316. I have just started running this so don't have any macros or timers in use, cause they don't work. I have 6 or 7 modules set up so far. Plugins are Smart macros and Onalert.

Are the modules new or did you have them already.  If new they will be soft-start and should be added to AHP.  What modules do you have.  Control of modules are what timers are for.   AHP can have a single macro, Smart Macros are all computer based.  You upload timers to to the CM15A.

Upon further investigation, I find that if I set the timers and macros to run from the PC they work fine, but if I try to run them from the controller, they won't run.....

Sorry, replies got crossed up. I have appliance modules (3 pin AM466) and switch modules (WS13A), as well as some socket rocket units and Universal modules (UM506) The macro issue I now understand only runs from the PC, however, is there a difference between macros that run under smart macro plugin and macros that run in AHP. Still doesn't explain the problem with the timers....

Timers work with modules, you create rooms in AHP and modules go in rooms.  Timers are attached to modules (like turn on at dusk, off at 1:00 AM).  Look a AHP, you will see what I'm talking about.  Once you get your rooms set up, save the ,ahx file with a new name.   I have 18 different .ahx files for use during a year.

Smart Macros are all computer based

Actually, this statement is not completely true.
Depending on how complex the macros, some can actually run just fine from the interface.
Some of the functionality of the SmartMacros, however, require a live connection to a PC. Those macros will have the "Store in Interface" and "Run From PC" options greyed out, and will have a little warning next to those buttons that the macro must be run from the PC.
