I did just test out a bluetooth dongle and was unsuccessful in getting it to work. We are going to work on a fix for that.
I sure hope you find a fix as I'd like to have this option.
Have you tried different Dongles?

The dongle wasn't the problem, it just simply didn't have drivers and options built in for it. so we are going to add it, and see if it creates any bugs in the system. etc. that kind of thing.

Since it's forked, I'm not sure if Linux kernel changes funnel down to Android, but see if you follow this ...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875983003

also, it's a small micro device, low-power, and if you read the Feedback some users say it already works with Linux. Maybe with Ice Cream Sandwich it will be PnP and ready to go out-of-the-box.

I have been checking different forums and websites but have not read a single review by anyone who has received the airpad, save of course the OP of this site. The first shipment was sold out last week, seems like some folks would have reported their experience by now.  I myself have ordered the second day the pad was available so waiting for a second shipment.  I don't mind the wait, but would like to hear from some folks that have received theirs, otherwise I begin to have my doubts about the validity of this product.  >*<

Very few users of X10 products actualy come here to praise or write reviews.
Many only come here because they are having dificulties or as in your case are having second thoughts or doubts.
I too have one on order though I suspect you'll get yours before me.
Which one of us will be the first to post a review? ???

If I actually receive an airpad, if there really is one, I promise to do a nice write up both here and my blog.
Cheers.

We are skipping Honeycomb all together. We have found that tablets running it, are a lot slower in comparison to 2.3. Ice Cream Sandwich is the next version of Android, and is set to be released by Google in December (this date changes sometimes). Once Google releases it, we can, and will, take it and build the update for the AirPad.

Geek TidBit: With the Android version numbers, I have found it to be a useful habit to not use them until they are officially released from Google. Honeycomb was supposed to be 2.4 and at the last minute, they changed it to 3.0 and tablets only. Rumor has it, that Ice Cream Sandwich is going to be 2.4, 3.1, and 4.0. The only official convention, is that it is named Ice Cream Sandwich.

I just ordered my Airpad. A big portion of my reasoning is based the post I quoted. For the price it's great and with an update coming, it'll stay relevant for much longer.

So I'm posting here and taking screen caps of the forum so I can point to it and complain later in case an update doesn't come. If you'd like to recant any of it, now would be a good time to do so.  ;D

Otherwise it seems like a deal that's too good to be true.

Tuicemen,

Fortunately they ship to Hawaii or I too would be out of luck. I saw on another post that you will have to wait for shipment to Canada, sorry to hear it.  I was told that mine shipped today, if you have any questions regarding it let me know and I will keep ya posted after receiving it.

Cheers.
