Iwatchout on a Mac
« on: September 07, 2011, 12:49:24 PM »

I am running Active Home Pro on a Mac using Parallels (VM emulation) and Windows 7. I have recently added a camera but the VA12a won't connect. Everything else seems to work well. Its likely a driver issue in Parallels but I'm not sure what I should be looking for. Any suggestions?

Does Parallels emulate a USB 2.0 port? The VA12A requires one.
In addition, make sure you have the right drivers installed, and that the Device Manager properly shows the VA12A.

Good question re USB 2. I'll try to follow that up but I'd be surprised is if wasn't 2.0.

The warning message is from Parallels but their "fix" is unplug and plug in again and that doesn't work. The VA12A device manager is loaded but shows the yellow warning and "can't start...code 10" message. That driver x10 looks old (2007) but it seems to be the latest one. I'll try to follow up with Parallels. Parallels has a, x32 audio controller but it obviously doesn't work for me.
