Split from original thread for clarity.

Confirmed. A nasty message indicating I was hacked appears on the BVC Forums.

It seems only part of Bill's Site is down. The BVC description, download, and purchase area (http://www.wgjohns.com/bvc.htm) is OK. The forum area however has been hacked.

I spoke to -Bill- about an hour ago.  He's looking into it, however, the data in the forum may be compromised.  We might have to reconstruct from the wayback machine.

I am sorry it happened.
Hopefully it was caught before too many folks accessed it.
I did notice that the IE loading spinning ball was there, while I was on the hacked site.
Didn't get any firewall or spyware warnings, but I didn't stick around long.

it re-sized and repositioned (put into motion) my FireFox page.  I didn't want to stick around long either.

Yeah.  It appears someone actually hacked my hosting provider and got into almost all of their servers.  Something like 700,000 websites were defaced.  With a the hosting company's and my backups, everything should be back to normal now.

Should be nice to know it wasn't just YOU... the hackers decided to screw with. Sorry your host got hit.... glad the outage was so brief.

Nice to see you back up Bill!
Also glad it wasn't an attack targeted at your site specifically.
