I've tried several compass apps and star gazing apps.  None of them update by repositioning the AP 7p.  Simple compass says waiting on sensor data.  Planetariax Pro says unable to locate your position, please set your location manually.  No way to set location manually.  I know there is no GPS, but Mapquest seems to know where I am.

MapQuest only knows where your ISP is.
In my case at my cottage it is many miles away!

I don't have an airpad and I don't know if you guys have this in settings:  Location & Security.    Check "Use wireless networks".  THis may help.  Google collects all the Wifi AP and associates this with a location.  Sort of poor man's GPS via WIFI.  Some apps use this especially google Maps.

Since the Airpad does not have the official google experience apps (ie Market etc), you may not have this option or if you do have the option if its operational.

Yep that works for me in the city but at the cottage it shows me still in the city. Actualy a different one!
