Hi,
I just received my TM751A and I noticed that it hasn't On/Off button as announced in http://www.x10.com/promotions/tm751_cat_hm.html?NCAT.  It was hidden by a x10 sticker.  Does the new TM751A has no more On/Off button ?

X10 frequently makes changes and does not tell us end users anything.

You found an X10 sticker over the place where the local On Off button use to be?
The link also indicates a pass through outlet so it does not block the wall outlet. Does yours have such a pass through outlet?

Hopefully someone else has gotten a new TM751 and can tell you what theirs has.

If the new tm751 indeed has a pass threw outlet not a x10 controlled outlet there would be no need for a on/off switch
Does it still make the annoying click with a on off signal to the first unit code of the address it is set too?

I looked at the link and there's nothing about a On/Off button.   Where did you see that?

Dan; All the older TM751s have a push button to manually turn the internal appliance type switch On and Off.

Thanks for the info, I haven't used a TM751 for so long (I use RR501's) that I forgot  it.

So the "new" TM751A is strictly a RF transceiver, and no longer will switch a local load.

From this I might infer:

A.  The guys that do the promotions don't use the products.
B.  X10 has redesigned, and not changed the model number (been down that road before (arg!)   )
C.  Someone is just confused.

Guess we'll just have to buy one to find out.

BTW,  If it's just a pass-through, why not add the ground pin?

It still is very confusing. Photo is not 100% accurate.

OK I just read the sales page. Sounds like they removed the alternate switch and parts used to trigger it. Maybe just put a wired jumper where it was.
That would also be why there is no On Off button as Tuicemen indicated. Not wanting to waste front covers with the hole in it for the button. Cover it with an X10 sticker.
Why no ground pin. Cases have two pins and so does the outlet. Not wanting to waste parts. Keep it two pins.

Less parts. Less cost. Raise prices.  

So the buyer again should read the exact descriptions of what it does and you get. X10 makes changes and not a word from them on what they did.

If you send an On and Off from a remote to Unit Code One for the House Code it is set to. Does the outlet on the botton go On and Off; with a audible clunk from an internal switch? I think it may not. It sounds like X10 made it an always On pass through outlet.

So, is there a hole in the casing that's simply covered by a sticker?  Can't imagine that's a very friendly scenario for a kid and a screwdriver.  But, then again, neither is an outlet installed upside-down that kinda resembles a face, with the ground pin as the mouth.

There is no Unit code on this device, I can only set House code, I think this is an always On pass throught outlet.  I don't know how to attche the picture to show you how the new TM751A look like.

There never was a unit code to set.
It was always unit 1 for the housecode you set the tm751 to.

Would be nice if they made the little booger "polite".  Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, yeah I'm laughing at that thought too.
I agree with Knight about the hole if left in the case with just a sticker to cover. Was the TM751 ever UL or CE approved? If so, it ain't no more.

Though if you go to the UL Database. That number is a blanket number with almost all of the X10 models in the list.
