Smart macro logic
« on: April 12, 2012, 06:47:01 AM »

I have been trying to set up a macro to run only on a condition. So far I've tried setting flags, setting dummy modules, and setting real modules. The macro still runs.
Basically I'm trying to make a check list.
Macro 1:
The computer will ask me at preset times, if I changed my oil. (This Works)
Macro 2:
When I say "yes I did", (Set flag 1) the macro should not run anymore. (Macro 1 runs when it should not)
Any ideas on how to make this work?

Thanks

Is gg4000 a real X10 user or are our legs being pulled?

Dunno. But the total lack of detail or explaination in gg4000's post isn't going to get him any answers.

I'm not sure how to explain it.
 I'll figure it out.

Thanks again.

BVC isn't part of AHP it is a thirdparty application.
This may be a issue with it.
You might get more help if you posted in that forum.

However it sounds like your first macro isn't checking the flag status.

You might also wish to look at ihouse as it has built in macro logic, doesn't depend on AHP and is a VR program.

Your "Macro 1" needs to be conditional, based on the status of flag 1.
However, you should know that running a macro by clicking on it in the AHP program will ALWAYS ignore the conditions (and run the macro even if the condition fails).
You need to trigger it using something external (like a timer, remote motion sensor, or other controller).

Thanks.
I did think that clicking it was going to make it run. I'll have to figure out how to call the macro externally.

I will also check out ihouse.

Meanwhile, I will be opening my electric gate when I pull up and say "robin, open the batcave.  :)%

I like it, but I thought it was Alfred the butler that opened the cave.

ok ok... it is Alfred. Did not want to post the actual command to open my gate on the net. LOL
I guess the Joker and Penguin will have to figure out what frequency and channel to use.

I think the time is wrong on the interface. A macro that should have ran today did not.
Anyway to check?
CM19A - Power House TM751 or IBM Home Director HD501... (Or should I buy a different interface?)
AH Hardware configuration shows 01/01/1601 12 am and can't be changed.
My drop down tools menu also shows CM11 Configuration while I'm using CM19A.

Any info?
