When I was shopping around for a wireless alarm, before I came across the SC1200 (which I ultimately decided on), I came across the Skylink SC-1000.  I think I read somewhere that this system was also made by x10, but I'm not 100% on that.  Anyway, the SC-1000 lags behind the SC1200 in many ways, but one of the interesting things I did notice is that it has many different types of sensors, including an Alarm sensor, Flood Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Vibration Sensor, etc.

My first question, and I'm sure the answer is no but I'm asking anyway: are the Skylink SC-1000 sensors compatible with the SC1200?  My second question: other than the Door/Window and Motion sensors, what other sensors are available for the SC1200?

No made in Canada and not compatible with X10 devices.
Specifications indicate it uses rolling code generation for their devices. Not used on X10 devices.
Have not found their RF Frequency yet but almost 100% it isn't the 310MHz used by X10.

Other than some security remotes there are not many other devices available for the SC1200.
Since it does have two hard wired zones. In theory you could wire any dry contact output sensor into one of them and it would trigger a alarm on Zone 31 or 32 when it opened the zone connection.

It would be nice to know the details on this. I can see rolling codes to arm/disarm but using them for sensors is, IMO, both needless and needlessly complicated.

The cool thing with X10s DS10s is they can be modified to create water, vibration, glass break sensors and much more.
A search of the forum will turn up many posts from users that have made some of these modifications.

Dave; The SkyLink information was very sketchy. It mentions rolling codes but not exactly what parts used it.
One of the online X10 Vendors still has 36 of the old GB10 Glass Break Sensors.

Did some around the web searching.
X10 is selling a Skylink Multi Link Pro Security System.
One of the photos of the PS434A Motion Sensor was clear enough to read the FCC ID Number.
It uses 433.9 MHz for its RF frequency.
Did a wide search for their Grantee Code KUT.
Found a few with a 310MHz frequency but they looked like keyfobs for their garage door systems.

Tuicemen made a good point. Many devices can be connected to the DS10A to trigger it.
I had forgotten how many things the DS10A can be used for with external triggering devices.

The DS12A also has a set of terminals for a second zone. It can also be used for external device triggering.
Since the Internal and External Zones are separate. You can register just the external one and not use the internal magnet if you care to.
That is how mine are. External magnetic switches and only the second zone registered.

Actually company is in Canada. Devices made in China.
