My apologies if this questions has been answered previously. I searched the forum and was unable to find the answer. I've been using a TM751 Transceiver module and have decided to go back to the RR501 based on what I've read here. I only use House Code A. If I am not using the RR501 to control a lamp or any other device on (1 or 9) may use the unit codes 1 and 9 for lamp modules located elsewhere in our home? Finally, do you enter the RR501 in AHP in the room that it's located? Thank you very much.

Yes you can use 1 or 9 for other modules.
The internal appliance module will also follow the On and Off commands sent to the unit code set on the switch. If nothing is in its output. Nothing goes On and Off. It just clunks like most X10 relay type modules do. If the address is for a Lamp Module and it receives a dim or brighten command. It would ignore it.

You don't have to add the RR501 to AHP.
I could see adding it to a room if you wanted AHP to have its output in a timer or scene.

One added question.
Your AHP system. Is it using a CM15A Interface or the CM15K {TM751 with CM19A controller|?

My system uses the CM15A USB interface. Thank you for answering my question. One more question please.....Is it possilbe to use an RR501 in one part of the house and a TM751 in another?

Using both the TM751 and RR501 may depend on your exact installation.
The TM751 has no power line receiver in it so it is not polite.
The RR501 has a power line receiver in it and should be polite.
If the TM751 and the RR501 both receive an RF command to transceive on to the power lines.
Theory is. The RR501 will wait until the TM751s commands are finished.
Most that would happen is some power line commands maybe corrupted and you would know the reasons.

If they are on opposite ends of the house and both don't see the same RF commands then nothing would happen between the pair.

I did some testing several years ago which may not apply if X10 has changed firmware in either or both devices but I could not get them to interfere with each other under normal circumstances.

I had to force interference to test the collision avoidance of the RR501. It worked well with the only caveat being that multiple 'polite' devices can occasionally get into a Laurel & Hardy style "You first." "No, you first." impasse.
