Hello guys. This is my first post as I am new to this x10 stuff.

I have a basic setup with some lamps assigned to a few addresses, all controlled by little keypad remotes scattered around the house. I also have a CM12 and Homeseer.

I am considering adding some MS13 Motion/Dusk/Dawn sensors. But I have some questions for those who use them, regarding the dusk/dawn features.

I am thinking: if I conditionally trigger lights to turn on when the MS13 senses darkness (dusk), would those lights that got turned on then cause the MS13 to think it's dawn again immediately?

I am hoping that someone can confirm that bright lights don't cause MS13 to think it's daylight... otherwise the dusk/dawn feature of the MS13 would seem rather useless, no?

I don't want to use Homeseer's calculated dawn/dusk feature because I want lights to go on during the day when my blinds are shut and the weather is gloomy, for example.

If you have the MS13 pointed inside a room to turn on lights when the room is dark (and not when dark outside) then yes, the MS13 will send an "OFF" on the second address when the interior lights come on. To the MS13 it's daylight again! But if you are using Homeseer with conditionals, ignore the OFF command. Alternative would be to use a second MS13 pointed outside to control the lights when the interior MS13 detects movement(?). Or use a weather proof MS16 actually outside since the motion detection function of the MS13 pointed out the window would be pretty useless.
