Multiple RX569 connected to RX549
« on: March 18, 2013, 11:29:09 AM »

Using a splitter, would connecting two RX569 infrared extenders work when connected to an RX549?  Not sure how much current the RX569 consumes or the RX549 and produce.  I'm assuming the RX569 is essentially just an IR LED.

I have Powermid and although never tried a second extender  it should work (yes it is just an IR LED on a cable), but probably at lower output. Just make sure your second extender is either a RX569 or at least wired the same.

Hi,

Yes, I was going to use another RX569 wired in parallel.  as I say, my main concern is whether the RE549 provides enough current to drive another LED.
