I'm impressed with the white light, full spectrum brightness of the Hue.

Am I reading this correctly? They solved the existing problems by adding a battery that users will have to replace periodically and will cause problems when it is low? It seems more like they traded one set of problems for another!

I believe the problem referred to is that of the WiFi operated Hue being disabled by a standard switch left in place. Of course, this could also be solved by a blank wallplate and the older, batteryless remote.

For that matter, for those who already have the batteryless remote, it could be solved by putting duct tape over the light switch.  ;)

I tried that, but WAF went in to negative numbers. So I removed switch and installed blank plate. WAF has increased only slightly. Seems to be some residual effects from the duct tape on the wall...sigh.

I did get a chuckle from this, but I cannot relate since I have no such challenges to contend with.  My cat does not seem to mind the duct tape.  :)

Boy, mine does when I stick it on her head. (That also generates negative WAF).
