interlogix b4z-861-http handheld wireless touchpad encrypted?
« on: August 29, 2018, 06:41:59 PM »

I'm not sure this is the best place to post this ( maybe home automation troubleshooting would be better).

I have an interlogix b4z-861-http handheld wireless touchpad that I use to arm / disarm and control my x10 lights through my concord 4 alarm system. I also have a brodlink RM pro that supports learning of RF signals but am having trouble getting it to learn the RF signals. Is this because it is encrypted? Is there a way to get this to work?

I would love to set up my google home routine for bed to include arming my alarm as well as the routine for leaving the house.

Just saw this post today.

Yes the handheld remote does indeed broadcast an encrypted protocol particular to the Comcord 4 panel that won't be sniffed too easily if at all. The panel is UL listed.

If you really wanted to integrate the Concord 4 panel into your automation all you need is the the Automation Module https://static.interlogix.com/library/466-1876-C_superbus_2000_rs-232_automation_module_install_instr.pdf and the relevant software which will allow you to control all your lights and many other elements of automation.

If you're interested let me know and I can point you in the right direction
