I draw some comfort that perhaps a price break will encourage new business, so that the revenue can be invested in completing committed product features, and fixing huge and persistent bugs.

Not at all frustrated,..nope. B:(

Or, perhaps they finally realized that the current product will never be able to do everything it was supposed to do, so they dropped the price to try and get rid of the stock they have.  :(

And then they stop paying the bill for the server  :-[ .

My money is on Noam's theory. But did they change the ad wording?

Sorry. I am new. I just read the manual on this.

Other than direct access to the hub via your smart phone, what does this give me I don't have with HomeGenie and connecting with my smartphone via webserver address?
I get it is certainly prettier. But any thing I missed?

Actually you can do more with a cm15  and HG then this ever could.
The only plus currently with the wm100 is its signal strength in my opion.

Actually, you *don't* get direct access to the hub. You need to access it through the server, via the web. So when the server goes offline (which has happened a bunch in the last few weeks/months), and/or your Internet connection is down, you have no control over the system.

This has all the trappings of an "end of line" sale. I wonder how many of the units that were returned by forum members owing to them being "not fit for purpose" will be included in this clearance sale.

Maybe I don't visit the sales site as often as I should but I've never seen it offered at the regular price of $149 ::) :'

I also have never seen it at $149.99
Now it is $109.99. Though in the very beginning. $99.99 seems to stick in my memory.

$99 was the introductory offer I've never seen it lower then that and $109 is where I've noticed it always at when I visit the sales page.

No app updates in quite awhile, despite lingering bugs. My inquiries to support go unanswered.

Anything we should know?

Can't speak to the inquires to Support issue. But no updates is really SOP. IMO Authinx does not have much sway over the manufacturer/developer.

I anticipate this to be my final question on this subject, unless something new pops. I feel that I was chastised here for asking questions on "old tech"...Point well taken, subject.

When the WM100 ends, I suppose X10 will turn off the server (forgive me if I misunderstand this) and that will be that for this latest device? Thanks all for taking the time to respond

Sorry you felt you were chastised I 'm sure that was no ones intent we were all lacking information on X10 at some point. Hopfully we'll all have an alternate connection method by the time the server is put to sleep.
