Integrating a Wireless Tag with Alexa Notification - PART 2
« on: February 17, 2024, 11:38:56 PM »

This is the second part of the topic of Intergrating a wireless tag with X-10 via EISY. In the first part we set up the actual action we wanted taken, turning on a space heater if the temperature fell below freezing.

In this part, which will be 2 of 3, I walk through the process of fooling Alexa into thinking we have a contact sensor for her to act on, which IS in her wheelhouse - when in reality what we really have is a Wireless tag triggering a Variable between 0 or 1 depending on the temperature reported.

It really does not take very long, as in reality each screen shot represents a single keystroke, or a series of keystrokes. But, grab a seat and we will give birth to a "ghost" sensor.
