I frigged around with the drivers enough that
it finaly shows USB device working properly.
Now every time I try to turn a light on or
off from ActiveHome I get a "An error
occurred while communicating with your
ActiveHome USB interface" and procedes to
download all timers and macros. Tried it on 2
different PCs and 2 different CM15As. Any
ideals????

Frank,

Did you ever get an answer to this problem.
I'm having the same thing.

It worked perfectly for the first 3 days.
No without changing anything, every couple of minutes I get the same popup window.
???

Is there any log or something to provide more information, other than the popup?

1. You responded to a THREE YEAR OLD POST  to which nobody else had responded to.

2. The error ""An error occurred while communicating with your ActiveHome USB interface" has been around since AHP was first issued and nobody here or at X10 knows why it happens or when.   All you do is download the .ahx file you were using.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Have you reload the software. Maybe it just loaded wrong.  Remember to uninstall AHP and restart your computer then reinstall it.

Read my post just above yours.  It explains the "Why" and X10's point on it.

There is no way to "fix" it.  It's been there since AHP Version 3.142. the first version.  It continues with Version 3.228, the current version.   X10USA does not apparently consider it a major problem, it's probably caused by a Windows "hiccup" that must shut off USB ports for a second or so, when you open AHP next you get that message.  I've had them since I first got AHP.  It's happened with several versions, not every day, sometimes not for months.
