Commander Part2
« on: February 06, 2005, 12:56:13 PM »

For Some reason could not fit the entire
post with the first message

If someone was breaking in your house and
one of these things fails to function you’re
just out of luck. If someone is just using
just one camera I wouldn’t wrist it, use an
x10-controlled outlet instead. It should
work in theory because even when you cut the
power off to your VCR (leave the VCR in the
record mode) when the motion detector trips
it could cut your camera on and the VCR,
with x10 outlets there’s always some power
going through the circuit so when the power
is turned back on the VCR should still be in
the record mode just don’t forget to set
your motion detector for the length of time
you want the VCR to record. Anyone else
having problems with these things?? ditto
for the x10  repeater to, working on my
third x10 pro repeater the ones I’ve
received seem more like IR the RF if you
don’t hold the remote just the right way it
sometimes won’t work and this is from twenty
feet. Thanks

Yes Tom, I programed my commander2 and it
worked fine.(after using the instructions
that worked which isn't the ones that they
ship with the product)until I went to the
kitchen and ate my dinner. Then I come
back, and nothing. Tryed to clear all codes
and program again and it won't accept the
motion sensor codes. Of course, like
always, costumer service was the worse I've
ever encountered in my life. Wish they
would hire someone for quality control.

I went to the help section on x10 and found
it more heplfull.
I found you can't wait to long in pushing
the correct buttons, speed is the key.
Battery back up for when the power goes off.
My only problem are the antennas, working
on that one wish I could get parts without
buying whole cam. I wanted to do a back to
back antenna to see if that would work.
maybe if I cut it off and rewire it with
longer wire and fix antenna it would work.
Just bought TV antenna motor and it only
cost me $55.00. Full turn but can't go up
and down.
