Is it just my IR emitter or are the sticky-
pads that come with the IR emitter very
poor quality?  When I peel the protective
backing off the emitter and then stick it
on the IR sensor on my VCR the emitter
falls off w/in just a couple of minutes.
What is a good replacement for these lousy
sticky-pads?

Ann,

I have not had that problem. I even moved
mine from one VCR to another and it is
sticking just fine. It has been on for a
couple of months. Maybe the VCR has a wax or
polish  on it that is preventing the unit
from sticking.. If it were me, I  would try
wiping the surface down with some alcohol
and then try again.  If that fails maybe a
small section of scotch tape to hold it in
place. I suppose you could use supper glue
but that might make it a little difficult to
remove if you  ever wanted to.

It's not the VCR.  I guess I didn't explain
the issue as concisely as I could have -
the sticky-pad comes away from the IR
emitter, not the VCR.  So I've got sticky-
pads on the VCR but no IR emitter.  I must
have gotten an emitter with a bad batch of
sticky-pads.

Or they where not cleaned properly before
they where stuck to the emitter itself.
