Does the remote siren also chime?

Nope but they do sell a remote chime as well.

But does that remote chime work with the
security console?  I know that you can
control it from a x10 controller, but will
it chime when the security console does?
Because it is triggered by x10 commands,
and I don't think the console sends out any
commands on a chime.  Anyone else have a
comment?

I called an asked them about this and they
say only the console will beep in run2.
