MS10A causes console to beep every 4 hours
« on: April 09, 2005, 05:44:42 PM »

Hi,

I got one MS10A installed that causes the
security console to beep every once in a
while, I would guess every 4-6 hours.
Console is disarmed all the time. Nothing
is  happening that could trigger the
sensor.  Batteries are fresh.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

thanks!

Every Sensor has to report back to the
console with in 4 to 6 hours. If it doesn't
the console will beep an error for that zone.
Did you maybe change the security code for
that sensor after the console learned it?
Maybe change the batteries?

it may even be the door contacts are spaced
to far apart.
you need to check them then restart all over
again. this was one of my issues with the
console doing the beeps.

new batteries plus re-regging from scratch
solved it. Sensor is quiet (only alarms when
it should:0 )

thanks!
