handheld remote setting of system

When I set the system in "delay" mode using
the remote, the console siren goes off and
does not silence. The system does not arm.
When setting in "instant" mode, all is OK.
Any one else have this problem?  Did you
resolve it? I have sent an e-mail to
support and am waiting their response.
