Remote module for lights
« on: May 19, 2005, 02:53:46 PM »

Need a series module at the box for two
360Watts chandeliers on one circuit of 5
controlled from a single wall switch. I
would like to be able to turn off each
chandelier from a remote and leave others
burning.

Check out what smarthome.com has - you will
need to know how much wattage is being used
in total. Did you want the switch to
control the whole setup or control only at
each fixture? automatedoutlet.com also has
some units that you could use.

Frank:  Before I try to answer your
question, I want to make sure I understand
your situation properly.  Are you saying
you have a bank of 5 switches and each
switch controls 2 360W chandeliers (10
chandeliers total) and you want to control
each chandelier (not pair of chandeliers)
individually?  Do you also to be able to
turn them all on or off simultaneously?
What types of bulbs are in the chandeliers
(incandescent, florescent, halogen, etc.)?
Are you wanting to be able to dim the
lights?  Is this a commercial application?
This is doable, but I want to make sure I
understand your requirements before I waste
my breath...um I mean fingers. ;)
