Your input wanted!
« on: May 08, 2006, 02:51:53 PM »

Hi!

Please take a moment to review www.x10minitimer.com and give us your input on it.
We tried a somewhat different approach with this site, and are anxious to hear your opinion!

Thanks.

This product isn't new is it?
Hasn't it been around for awhile?

Very nice layout! Easy to navigate, much less confussing.
The tabbed menu makes very it easy to find info.

You're absolutely right, Steven. We've decided to promote the MiniTimer much more than it has been in the past. One can find package deals and accessory deals on www.x10minitimer.com , which can't be found anywhere else.

For example:
We offer the MiniTimer PLUS 2 Lamp Modules and 1 Appliance Module for only $39.99.
That's only $10  more than the regular MiniTimer price. That's savings of $28.97 (42%)!

Or how about 3 Socket Rockets for the price of 2 ?!

:)

Thank's a lot!  ::)

Yeah this looks better.

Regarding the daily X10 "Sale" email, are all X10 marketing types convined that smiling bimbos and dweebs standing gap jawed open mouthed, really sell product?

No answer needed.

Well at least the "smiling bimbos" are pleasing to the eye when I'm not interested in buying.  ;D

X10,

It looks good and it is easy to navigate. At least it does not have those annoying pop ups that follow my mouse pointer around the screen like some of your other sites.

I do like your site. It's a refreshing change from all the bells and whistles of the other X10 sites.
Please give some serious thought to eliminating the "Do you want to live chat" pop up. For me its just another thing to click closed. Don't get me wrong. I think the option to chat live is a good one. I just thing the option should be somewhere near the top of the page and not a pop up. How about an experiment? Put a clear link near the top of the page and see if anyone uses it. Keep a count. See if people use it more than the pop up. I for one will never use the pop up link as they are the 1st thing I close when I go to the X10 sites.

Hey StevenR,

I had the chat popup deactivated Friday. I will go ahead and try your approach.  ;)

Thanks for your input!

Hey Jim,

are you sure you were on www.x10securitysystems.com or www.x10minitimer.com ? Those are the sites I am working on as of now.

x10marko,

Sorry about that. I was on X10.COM. Still is annoying no matter the site.
