I have a problem with a wired mini controller and computer interference. The controller will operate modules on that circuit but, not on other circuits. As soon as I un-plug the computer, the problem goes away and the mini contoller works and "talks" to all the other modules throughout the house. Is there a solution for this? Noise filter etc? I do have an XPCP in the main panel.

Dan Lawrence

Yes, an XPPF plug in noise filter.

Computer power supplies, both desktop and laptop are known noise producers. So are UPS units.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Oh yes a X10 type filter. My APC BX1000 UPS has a surge suppressor in it that absorbed almost all of my signals. I had to add a filter to the UPS AC Power Input.

Dan and Brian are correct.  If you want more information, check out a tutorial I wrote on Powerline Noise.

Wow! The noise filters worked. Thanks millions! Now, I get to de-bug my wireless cameras. I'll get back to you on that one

I have 6 or 7 UPSs currently in use. "I think I must just be d*** lucky", he says with fingers crossed & whispering so Murphy won't hear, not to need filters yet.
BVC let's me tell my camera where to go!
:) Murphy is my beta testing pal. He helps me find problems whether I like it or not. :)
