I have a Remote Chime (SC546A) linked to a motion sensor (MS16A) on channel A9.  The chime works just fine with the motion sensor.  However when a lamp with motion sensor on channel A5 is triggered my chime goes beserk and starts screeching at full volume until I unplug it.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I've tried switching the chime and motion sensor around to different channels but I still get the same problem.

There may be another combination which causes the SC546A Chime to turn into a Siren, but I've found that any two Extended Code signals within about 1.5 seconds of each other will cause this effect every time.

Are you using a LM14A 2-way Lamp Module (which uses extended code signals) for your lamp?  If so, then the Chime will be incompatible with it.  If not, verify that you haven't inadvertantly defined your standard lamp module as an LM14A in ActiveHome Pro.  Also, open the AHP Activity Monitor window and look for  Extended signals appearing there when your Chime goes berserk.

In fact, I think you are right.  It's a LM14A 2-way lamp instead of the LM16A as I stated.  Maybe that is causing the problem.  I'll investigate.  Thanks for the help!  I'll let you know what I find.

I have a LM14A and I know anytime you click the poll button the Chime goes nuts. Is there any workarounds for this?

There's no fix I know of.  I've abandoned my SC546A Chime Module and replaced it with a UM506 Universal Module set to momentary mode with chime.  It's somewhat louder and sounds just a "beep-beep-beep-beep", both of which actually suit me better than the SC546A.  (I use a number of Extended Code modules like the LM14A and AM15A and can't risk having that stupid
SC546A Chime going berserk in the middle of the night, or any other time for that matter.)

I use a UM506 as my MS14A activated "doorbell" as well. Along with a lamp plugged into my RR501 tranciever's appliance module.

The beep beep beep is loud enough to hear throughout the house (small house) without being annoying when you're in the same room.

Thanks for all the responses.  I'm gonna have to abandon my remote chime too since I use 2-way lamp modules and go with the Universal Module as suggested.  The screeching is happening all the time and I would hate to bother the neighbors below me if it went off all day while I was at work.
