Thinking of getting an i-pad but then saw the Airpad.
Any thoughts, suggestions?

They are two distinctly different animals. With different capabilities and certainly different pricing. You first might read about Apple OS versus Android. If Android satisfies your requirements then the XL is a decent, mid tier tablet.
