  • Old !@#$% Tinkerer!

I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, but I can never seem to find my . :-[

Other the other hand, with an entire Community of X10 enthusiasts here, " Many hands make light work... " and *MANY* of you already seem to have certain items BOOKMARKED (since it appears that you post them often). ;)

Posting them in the following format would be most appreciated - just hit QUOTE to see how it's done (THANKS Puck for giving me the initiative to post this! :) ):

Filters:

Passive Couplers:

Test Equipment / Signal Analyzers:

I'll collect and move them into my T/S STICKY so that everyone can then just LINK to them. 8)

Thanks!  ;D

P.S. *PLEASE* LINK to the MANUFACTURER's site, *NOT* some vendor.

Just so you know, the links you provided for the Levition products are for a vendor not Leviton itself.  Leviton's website is http://www.leviton.com, but they don't seem to have very good information about their DHC products anymore.

After years of goofing around with transceiver placement & passive couplers to combat intermittent performance I installed this 3-wire amplified coupler.  Holy cow wish I would have done this earlier.  System is now virtually 100%.  Just plug it in.

Blurb: ...Better than the Passive Signal Bridges because this unit actively amplifies or re-generates the X10/PLC signals, your receivers will get a stronger signal than what they would have received directly from the originating transmitter via the non-amplified signal bridge...

Active Couplers:

The problem with Leviton and SmartHome Coupler-Repeaters is that they don't support Extended Commands (see Problems With Extended Commands).  That is why I only recommend ACT Coupler Repeaters.  They include:

Note: the CR254 is intended for industrial applications and is not useful in a home environment.
