Connecting computer requirements???
« on: June 21, 2008, 10:29:39 PM »

In looking over the My House Online, the system requirements seem rather narrow.  Are they saying that you must have a windows machine running internet explorer only?  No Firefox? No Mac? No Linux remote access?

Very Curious.

Are you calling my Foxfire "odd stuff"?  :)
While Foxfire users currently exceed 10% of the market, I too was unable to get My House Online work with anything other than the IE browser.

FYI... In this review, cnet reviewers clearly picked Foxfire over IE7.

In the "hay-Days" of the odd browsers.... they never attributed to even 3 percent. But I guess that 90 percent of stats, can be made to say anything.... fifty percent of the time.

I also am a veteran of the "browser wars".... and the side I was on didn't win ether. But there was a winner.... let us not pretend there wasn't.... I am too old for that.

I don't mean to demean Foxfire.... it was way ahead of it's time. It's lack of quantity of users doesn't reflect it's quality as a program.

My kids converted me. I was a die hard IE user for a long time.
