S/N Ratio: is the DB better to have a high number or low when it comes to camera

For any product I can think of, the higher the signal-to-noise ratio, the better.

I have to agree. I want as much signal and as little noise as I can get.  :)

What was the article? How hard is it to say that one should have more signal than noise?
