Horrible and Offensive Web Site

I spent 3 months convincing my wife that home automation is a great idea.  She finally agreed and said she'd buy me some X10 products for Christmas and visited the new web site to make a purchase.  There is now no way that I will ever convince her that X10 is a legitimate company.  Way to go, X10 management.

The X10 web site has always been annoying and offensive.  I've visited before and was bothered by the flashing icons and misleading or missing information, but this has reached a new low.

Adding insult to injury, I called X10 and the rep could not have been more clear with his "kiss off, you're wasting my time" attitude.  I did learn from the rep that the president of X10 endorses the web site.  He's supposed to be a Brit in his mid 40s.  Unbelievable.

I don't need to give my money to this type of company, so I'll look at other alternatives.

Here in Canada when we click on a webpage we usually have a choice of English or French versions of the webpage. Maybe x10 should have a somewhat similar choice but for either Porn or Non-Porn versions of the website

Yeah it might not be such a bad thing if they had a 2 for 1 deal on the models.

I opened a recent email and was looking at the "deals" (honestly I was, I swear!). Anyway my wife saw the screen and I had to go to great lengths to prove to her it was X10 stuff. Honestly. That's no joke. Now I am careful about when I open the emails and go to the site.

That said, their choice of talent is exquisite!

   I never cease to be amazed how Intelligent and talented people can be completely distracted by Hot babes. I mean really so what if the girl is so nice she makes you sweat, big deal she's so choice that your knee's get weak when she smiles at you. I want pictures of transistors and wires.

The way 4 diodes can team up to build a bridge is such a show of team spirit. The way they can take the Alternating Charged group energy and make a Direct Connection is such a positive rush. It really gets my batteries charged.

When I first saw the web site I was a bit leery about ordering from them. It wasn't till I discovered that they have an active set of forums that I decided to make a purchase. However, being a British ex-pat myself and learning that the X10 president is a Brit I have no more worries. Just a culture difference thing.....
