What unit code for security console
« on: January 14, 2011, 09:16:47 AM »

This is a curiosity question. I have the ds7000 system currently with 5 ds10a's on doors, a ph508 siren and one socket rocket in a table lamp. I have 4 key remotes and 1 sh624 remote. Currently I have the console set to UC-1 and the ph508 on UC-16. I programmed the socket rocket using the sh624 by pressing the security lights on button 3 times. All is working. Light flashes on the off when you arm the system and the light flashes when the alarm is triggered.

I can also turn the lamp on using the number 1 button on the sh624 which is where my curiosity comes in. Are all lights programmed for use with the console set to the same UC as the console? Should the console be set to say UC-15 and then program the socket rocket to UC-1?

It's the HC, not UC that triggers the power horn and lamp modules during an Alert.
