SC1200 with KR32A remotes - very poor range
« on: March 21, 2011, 03:47:14 PM »

I have been having issues with the KR32A remotes range - I opened them both up and the CR2016 batts were from 2008!

I ordered some KR10A remotes from BigJohn as I got two of them for less than the cost of 1.5 CR2016 batts.

The CR2016 Lithium Batteries have a very good shelf life and I doubt X10 made your KR32A in 2008.
Mine is like week 51 of 2010.
I doubt your range issues where battery related.
Though it could be the overall design of the KR32A or the RF reception issues with the SC1200 itself.
Pleas keep us in the loop when you get the KR10As on how they work compared to the KR32As.

I just got a VM from x10 and they are shipping me 2 KR10As for free, and I ordered two from eBay as well. Oh well they were under $8 for two on eBay so I can't complain and extra remotes are only nice to have.

Hi say anyone find out if these will work Ok range wise with the DS7000 console? and I found the KR32A's for 13 bucks if you interested. Would pick up a few at that price if I was sure they would work properly.
