You will likely find the SECU-16IR a bit cumbersome since it requires hardwired IR transmitters and requires something like the IR543AH for X10 control.

You must be reading my mind Dave. Yes I see it needs an IR TX/RX unit to learn in IR codes. I’ll check your link now. The package only arrived this afternoon so I borrowed a Windows computer, downloaded the C Max software and glad to say it’s all working now. The seller messaged me to say he found a couple more of those units and for the price of P&P he’ll send them on to me. Decent guy and decent piece of kit too.
