Tranceiver TM751 and Security system DS7000
« on: August 13, 2005, 06:28:28 PM »

I wonder whether TM751 can talk (send IR
signal to) DS7000. Can DS7000 talk to
TM751. Thank you.

You mean RF. Neither unit uses IR.
They can not communicate with each other.
Both can receive RF signals from the
remotes. The TM751 will not process the
security coded messages like arm or disarm,
but can pass standard X10 commands to the
power line from any remote. The DS7000 can
also receive X10 remote codes on the house
code it is set to and pass them onto the
powerline also. The TM751 is not polite [has
no X10 Line Signal Receiver] and if both the
DS7000 and the TM751 get the same RF Remote
message there maybe a garbaged signal as
they step on each other.
