multiple lamp select
« on: October 02, 2004, 01:39:56 AM »

I'd like to be able to select a group of
modules and gang them together for manual
dimming etc. Maybe use a ctrl+click select.
I'd also like to see the ability to select a
dimmer and use the up or down arrows to
nudge the settings up or down -- and if we
can get that then like I said before a group
select with manual up/down from the arrow
keys. I'm not too fond of mice! hehe :)

I found out by accident how to do this.  I
had created a macro triggered by the ON
command to turn on 3 lamps.  I created
another macro to dim the same 3 lamps to
50%. I found out that all 3 lamps also
responded to the bright/dim controls of the
remote and that worked better than the dim
macro for control.  It seems the system
remembers that the lamps were addressed as a
group and keeps the group intact until
another module address is selected on the
remote. Someone else may have a better
explanation but it does seem to work.
