I received my Airpad 7P ICS a few weeks ago and cannot get Flash to work. I tried the version that came installed. No Luck. I installed AF 11.1. Still no luck. all I get is a little blue cube. Any suggestions?

I bought my Airpad specifically because it supported Adobe Flash 10.2 if I remember. However some weeks ago in place of video I started to have a frame appear in the page with a downward pointing Green arrow in the center. Upon clicking the arrow the browser was closed.
On spending time to figure out the problem, I found that the Flashplayer had been updated to 11.1. Further research showed that the Airpad was not on Adobe's list of certified devices. That led me to think that perhaps the OS version Gingerbread was maybe the problem. Has anyone else found this issue? If so what can be done to fix it?

We are aware that there is a problem with Flash and ICS. We expect a updated version of ICS by early next week. Once it is tested, we intend to make it available to everybody.

Do you have Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich? I am not aware of any problems with Flash on Gingerbread. Regardless, you will be able to upgrade to ICS soon, which should resolve the problem.

I do have gingerbread, however is ice cream an optional update?

What does ICS stand for please?

Look forward to the update which I presume will support Flash player 11.1?

Thanks very much for your responses,

ICS stands for Ice Cream Sandwich (Android version 4). As long as you have an AirPad 7p (the 7" tablet that has a white back cover) you will be able to upgrade at no cost.  I am not sure which flash player will be supported.

X10 Repair Depot ,
Any idea when users of the original AirPads will be able to Update to ICS?
Will it come out at the same time?
I suspect we'll have to pay for that update. ::) :'

Why would you need to upgrade to ICS?  Its already there.

I thought you said that you had Gingerbread (Android version 3.x)? Either way, the update will fix your flash problem.

Tuicemen,

Rockchip and the motherboard's manufacturer both need to do a lot of work to get ICS to work on that unit. As of now, that has not been done and I do not know their schedule to get it done.  When ICS is available, we will supply it at no cost.

I did say I had a Gingerbread, however my point is why would a 7P owner need to upgrade to ICS when it already has ICS.

Now, what I would like to clarify is the fix, supposedly coming next week for original Airpad owners, going to allow us to use Adobe Flashplayer again as it was sold to us 6 months ago?

Thanks

Not all Airpad 7Ps came with ICS.
Only the ones after Christmas.
Prior they came with GB

The update is only for the AirPad 7p. There is no estimate of when an update will be available for the original AirPad. I am not aware of any flash problem with the original AirPad.

Thanks for clarifying the 7P versions. Rather disapointed to hear that so many needed refurbishing so soon.

Moving back to the original comment I made concerning my Flashplayer no longer worked after the auto upgrade to 11 took place. That was why I posted originally and that is why I am expecting a response to that specific issue. Should I save all my acquired data and restore to factory settings and then check out the flashplayer?

Please advise my best course of action to pin down the problem.

Thanks

To X10 Repair Depot  - great to hear that X10 will have an update to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) - am eagerly awaiting - is there anything you can share?  At a minimum, will this be an upgrade to Android 4.0.3, and will it include Android Market??
