x10 Console Set Up
« on: April 15, 2012, 02:03:45 AM »

I can't find in the manual how to assign a particular zone as an "entry," so that the delay will work correctly.

Would someone explain how to do this?

Thanks,

Which security console?
If it is the SC1200 you can pick the zone where a sensor is registered.
Page 14 of the users manual gives the method. Basically you pick the zone by the number and then install it. The default is the next open zone as you add them.

Hello Brian,

It is the SC1200.

I got that far, but how do I assign 'zone 1' as the zone to be 'entry delayed?'  I can find no sub menu under either the 'Entry Delay' or 'Zone set' details of the manual or the unit?

TIA

You can not set any Zones to delayed or not delayed on the console.

The switch setting in each sensor determines if it can send a delayed trigger and on how the console was armed.
If the switch in the sensor is set to MAX it can be used for an entry and exit delay.
If set to MIN it always triggers an alarm immediately.

The entry and exit delays are only enabled with the Console Armed Away button. Where the Entry and Exit Delays timers are used.
Armed Home does not enable the delays for sensors set to MAX.

Arming from the Keyfob also does not enable any Entry or Exit delays.

The SH624 remote in some kits can also enable delays Entry and Exit for sensors set to MAX.
Even Armed Home where normally no delays are enabled. If you get the switches correct.

Thank you, Brian, that answers the question.
