What's with customer service at X10?
« on: December 24, 2004, 06:01:24 PM »

Is it me, or has X10 stopped answering
emailed questions?? I have sent in six
different emails in the past two months
asking questions about products and
problems I have had and gotten no replys. I
used to get a reply in two days. AND,
lately when I call I sit for about 3-4
minutes then get an operator who routes me
to another number, where I sit for 10-15
minutes and end up with a recording and end
up leaving a message, and nobody ever calls
back. Is this happening to anyone else??
Last year everything was taken care of
almost instantly.

No kidding! I have the exact same issue.
I had problems trying to download the
software and I get very little help even
though I have the warranty plus plan. I
had to talk with supervisors and now they
won't even email me back at all!!! no one
has responded? I can't believe they think
they can run a company this way. Well it
will come right back to bite them because
the internet is a powerful tool for
consumers to speak ther mind. Just visit e-
pinions.com You'll find out the truth
about many companies and if there products
and customer service is good or like X-10.
I don't know what to do but if they don't
change there act I'm never going to buy
from them again and I'll spread the word
like wild fire. Hear that X-10?

I also had some trouble with X10 for the
past holiday year end. The tech support
was back on its feet starting yesterday.
Last week it seems that X10 had experienced
there own technical problem with they
computer system. Called them few times and
they computer system is down. They could
probably be short staffed due to holiday
season and same thing as every offices.
They won't repond to your email because...
yes, your right.. their computer system had
problems at that time.
This is only my opinion.

Well, I think a two month long computer
problem is not something a company that
sells computer software should be admitting
to...sooner or later somebody is going to
realize that the "computer is down" is
their own inside joke on the rest of us
telling us they just don't care, or
possibly are unable, to answer our
questions concerning their products.
Ignoring emails, continually forwarding
telephone calls to unanswered extensions,
not returning calls when there happens to
be an answering machine are all things that
will eventually come back to haunt them.
They seem unable, or unwilling, to answer
the simplest of questions about their
equipment. After about two months, it
becomes a real tedious event to deal with
them...of course if they stall long enough
the warranty will expire and then who cares?

I have been suffering the same thing. I am
on the phone now waiting to get an RMA for
returning their equipment. If you can,
return it and save yourself the head ache

After 22 minutes on hold, I got through to
get my RMA. Now I have to wait for the email
with the RMA in it. Let's see if I ever get
it!

If it was me I would contact my credit card
company and request a chargeback. Product
not as advertised.

Let X-10 contact you if they want the
product back after you get your credit. I'm
just glad I checked this forum because I was
getting ready to order the 3 cam deal for
189.00

I came in here looking for any coupons

Thanks for the info on this forum, I sure
won't be buying the warranty. I have an
older version and just bought a new one and
hope it helps me fix some problems.

Buyer Beware!!!! Can you say Baaaaaaaad? Pan
& tilt,Multiview and Xray vision are full of
bugs. It takes 20 min. to get to customer
service and when you do they use the ploy of
having you check a few items on your
computer and try to get rid of you by
telling you to give it a try and call back
if it does not work instead of helping you
step by step. I figure the reason is it can
not be fixed. Don't waste your money on the
software!!!!

I think the big question here is, does
support still exist? I'm tying to find out
if, when a ninja is powered up, can the
homing be cancled ? X10 does not answer.
Not saying anything only makes people more
angry! What's happing X10?
